Don’t be fooled by media bias, success is like chipping away from a rock to make a sculpture

Our generation is influenced by a massive media and narrative bias, repeating stories of success, but giving a falsified perception of the needed process. Everyone wants to hear how easy success is, but nobody wants to hear that Bill Gates never took a day off in his 20s.
There are random cases of success, but it’s extremely rare.

Success works like selecting a rock, and each day chipping away a part to make it a sculpture. The rock has to be chosen wisely according to genetic predisposition and your strengths. Life is about griding the rock. (see blog post Are you measuring yourself by the right metrics ?).

  • A fence that goes up fast falls down fast
